James Oscar McCoy, 92, of Poseyville, Indiana, born to Oscar and Vivian (Jacobs) McCoy on May 25, 1922, in Tennyson, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at his home.
He served his country proudly in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. A lifelong farmer, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of plowing and planting a field. He enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
Surviving are his sister-in-law: Marjorie Robinson; nephews: Tony (Ethel) Robinson, Matt (Tammy) Robinson and Dan (Rita Ann) Robinson; nieces: Judy Robinson, Vicki (Bob) Jason and a longtime friend and neighbor: Dr. David Brougher.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother: Fritz D. Robinson ‘Pickles McCoy.’
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Poseyville, Indiana.
