Arvilla Ann Boberg, 74, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital. She was born July 11, 1939 in Mount Vernon, Ind., to Arvil and Valeria (Bennett) Knopfmeier.
Arvilla worked at Welborn Clinic in the medical records and insurance departments and also for Dr. Crist and Dr. Julian. She worked at the Mount Vernon License Branch, Lockyear’s Business College, and Eagles in Evansville. Most recently, she worked at CAPE’s Mount Vernon office. Arvilla was a member of Eagles 1717 where she was past president and secretary and a member of the Domestic Doers Home Economics Club. She was also a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and was active in the 4-F’s and Christian Service.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Boberg of 50 years.
Arvilla is survived by her daughter, Tonya (Alan) Mohr of Indianapolis, Ind.; son, Steve (Andrea) Boberg of Mount Vernon, Ind.; sister, Sandy Knopfmeier of Mount Vernon, Ind.; two grandchildren, Katy and Austin Mohr.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 505 Mulberry Street, Mount Vernon with Rev. Cynthia Priem officiating and burial to follow in Zion U.C.C. Lippe Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main Street, Mount Vernon, Ind., and from 9 a.m. to service time on Wednesday at the church.
