Garland Ray ‘Doc’ Bradley, 75, of Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 at Deaconess Hospice Care Center. He was born May 26, 1938 in Posey County, Ind., to Melburne and Margret (Quick) Bradley.
Garland served in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated Bradley Diesel Sales and Service for the past 22 years and this past year opened the House of Antiques in Mount Vernon. Garland was an avid golfer and NASCAR fan. He loved restoring old cars and collecting antiques.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Bradley; brother, Darwin Bradley; Mark Bradley and Troy Bradley.
Garland is survived by his wife of 38 years, Donna Pierce Bradley; brother, Jimmy (Donna) Bradley; kids. Lisa Bradley, Cindy Bradley, Lisa Crow, Robin Dartt, Keith Bradley, Bobby Conrad, John Bradley; grandchildren, Heather Heath, Cory Kohlmeyer, Sarah Clark, Paige Conrad, Tyler Beeson, Alex and Jacob Dartt; great-grandchildren, Ian Jackson, Journey Diaz, and Sawyer Bradley Kohlmeyer; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main Street, Mount Vernon, Ind.
Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Troy Bradley Memorial Fund at First Federal Savings Bank or to the American Red Cross, 29 S. Stockwell Road, Evansville, IN 47714.
