Clarence Anthony Scheller, 87, of Poseyville, Indiana, born to Anton and Anna (Knapp) Scheller on October 8, 1926, in St. Wendel, Indiana, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Deaconess Hospice in Evansville, Indiana.
He was a lifelong member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Poseyville, Indiana and worked at Emge Foods processing and packing plant in Ft. Branch, Indiana for 36 ½ years. He served in the army and was a member of the Poseyville American Legion Post 278. Tony was noted for his antique refinishing.
Surviving are his wife: Patsy Ruth (Miller) Scheller and several nieces & nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; 4 brothers: Henry, Leo, Adolph and Aloysius Scheller and 5 sisters: Rosina Koch, Mae Lankford, Faye Scheller, Mary Ann Lankford and Esther Paul.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Poseyville, Indiana with burial Laurel Hill Cemetery in Wadesville, Indiana. Father Ed Schnur officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Indiana.
The family extends their sincere appreciation and thanks to the Deaconess Hospital Hospice nurses and staff for their care and concern for Tony.
