Margaret Rohlfer


Margaret E. (Rasico) Rohlfer, 95, of Evansville passed away Tuesday April 29, 2014 at Willow Park. She was born August 27, 1918 in St. Francisville, Ill., to Norris and Loretta (Garvey) Rasico.
Margaret graduated in 1940 from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing. She retired in 1981 from St. Mary’s Hospital as a Registered Nurse and Physical Therapist. She was a charter member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and a member of St. Mary’s Alumni Assoc. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, ‘Pete’ Rohlfer; sister, Genevieve Nieten and brother, John H. Rasico.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph H. Rohlfer (Judith) of Mount Vernon, Ind., and Fred Rohlfer (Sheryl) of Sun City West, Ariz.; grandchildren, Beth Pace (Chris), Jennye Scott (Trent), Joanna Dickhaut (Eric) and Peter Rohlfer; great grandchildren, Logan, Cortland and Katelyn Pace, Ryan and Ella Scott, Justin, Aaron, Benjamin and Mackenzie Dickhaut; nieces, Sue Hensley (Lee) and Chris Schroeder (Wally); great nieces, Shannon Long (Gary), Debbie Nance (Griffin), Julie Norman (Jamie) and great nephew, Mike Hensley (Lisa).
Visitation was from 3 – 7 p.m. Sunday May 4, 2014 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714.
A Mass of Catholic Burial will began at 10 a.m. Monday May 5, 2014 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
